I believe that the people of the United States no longer have a say in what happens in Washington. Pacts and big business have almost total control of Congress. They have achieved this with money. Through their contributions our elected officials now listen first to their donors and to the ones they are supposed to serve. THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED THEM!

This is wrong! Somehow – some way – the government of our forefathers has been lost and that is why I am running for the House in the 6th District of Maryland.

When elected I do not want to owe anything to anyone except the people who placed me in Congress. In order to do this I will not be accepting contributions from anyone. How can someone run for office in this country and not accept contributions? It’s easy – talk to the people! My background is in marketing and advertising and I can assure you it is possible to run for office without collecting millions of dollars from corporate and private donors. The best way to accomplish this is to have an idea and a plan. An idea that will spread and be talked about by the voters and a plan that will put people back in charge of their government and take away the influences of the huge donors!

When elected I will only vote the way the majority of the voters of the 6th District want me to vote. In order to learn how my constituents want me to vote I will set up a website, people can go to the site and get a password. That password will give them access to another part of the site. There they will find an explanation of upcoming legislation and allow them to vote on how they want me to vote for it in Congress. For people who do not have access to the internet I will mail newsletters explaining the same information on proposed legislation which can be voted on and returned via mail to my office. I will vote for what the majority of the people want even if it is against what I believe is right or what I believe the people may need. In order to keep everything fair people who sign up to vote on the internet will not receive ballots via mail. Voting lists will be cross checked with mail and internet applications to try to make sure everyone only gets one vote. At least 500 people will have to cast votes on how they want me to proceed. There has to be a response from a group not what 10 or 20 people may want. If less that 500 people reply telling me how to vote – I will vote my choice. Numbers of votes and the percentages of the votes will be placed on the website and newsletters.
